This pic was sent to me by Ian Gardiner who was with the British Army and stationed at the Klian Pau Convent in the 1960s. He posted frequently to Taiping Talk and used the screen name “Gadzy”. He has not replied to my recent emails and I hope he is fine. I last heard he lived in Switzerland with his daughter.

In Taiping town, a website stands
A platform for locals and folks from afar
TaipingTalk.com, they call it by name
A hub for discourse, a virtual bazaar
Of stories and news, opinions and more
Discussions unfold, debates that soar
A place for thinkers, creators, and dreamers
A vibrant community, where insights gleaned are treasures
From food to culture, history to the arts
The website's scope, an epic adventure starts
A virtual tour of a town that astounds
Where beauty abounds, and mysteries abounds
So hop on the bandwagon, join the fray
TaipingTalk.com, a friendly place where you'll stay
Engage with others, make new connections
Where bonds are formed, and insights welcomed.
