When we lived here in the 1950s and 1960s, this stretch of the road was called Jalan Kota Lama but now it is known as Jalan Daeng Selili. We lived in a semi-detached bungalow which has since been demolished in the 1970s (see arrow) but the land remains vacant. I would love to see a photo of our old house!

Does anyone know where the Ellerton Club was in Kuala Kangsar? I recall it was at that row of double storey terrace houses about 100m away from the Post Office on the same side of the road. I remember were was a tennis court because my father used to play tennis there. The Ellerton Club was mentioned in "Being British in Malaya, 1890-1940" by Lynn Hollen Lees.
