I am from the Lim Clan and I have the similar picture of this building when my mother got married here in 1938. She, Yap Siew Hong, was originally a Chinese borned in Medan, Sumatra. She was brought over to Sungei Rotan village 24 miles south west of Taiping. My father Lim Eng Hock was born in Taiping but grew up in Penang. Through match making, they married at this Hokkien Association Kota Road.
Does anyone know of Lim Clan Kongsi in Chuan Chiew town in Fujian Province? Would like to visit my ancestral home 2011. Any help would be appreciated and thanks in advance. chrisimm26@gmail.com

"Keong Hee Huat Chye 2011" to every one from Taiping whereever you are now.
I went to local Malaysian Singapore Brunei Association Dinner & Dance on Dec 31, 2010 and met many former residents including former residents of Taiping and Penang. Had a jolly good time.
