This is one of the oldest goldsmith shops in Kuala Kangsar, I think they opened just after WW2 and their workshop (which had a number of apprentice goldsmiths living there) was just two doors away from where I lived in Jalan Daeng Selili. The owner was Lee Peng Choy. I still remember the names of some of the apprentices, Ah Seong, Toong Nyeong, Chee Yee etc. Every evening they would be playing football in a field nearby and I was allowed to join them sometimes since I was at least 10 years younger than them.
