Taiping looks very nice. Lots of parking too from what I see. BTW Any idea whether we use parking coupons or do we use coin parking? I heard that the State Government intends to standardize the parking coupon system for all towns in Perak which is a very good move.

Joe, I was in Taiping last week and I parked at several places in town. All the places I parked at still use meters which take coins. However I saw a sign outside a shop saying that "parking coupons available here" which means certain places accept only parking coupons. Personally I still prefer the coin meters.

Kayes, from the above pic., Taiping certainly looks very clean. I would love to drop over there some time and meet up with some old friends there and also the food.

Joe, I think Taiping town is much cleaner than Ipoh and Penang. Or maybe those constant rain just washes everything clean Smile

Hi Kayes, with the current dry spell, I hope the lakes won't dry up. I wonder whats the normal time for rain there now.

When I was in Taiping a couple of weeks ago, it rained as soon as I reached town at 7 am but stopped at about 8.30 am. The rest of the day was beautiful with blue skies and a "fresh smell".
