This group of senior citizens are always congregated at this part of the Lake Garden in the mornings. They just sit by the roadside and talk. Their meeting place used to be further up the road, near the entrance to Aun Say Garden but after the road widening in that area, they shifted down here. I wonder what they talk about. Personally I feel they should be given a computer each so they can help publicise Taiping to the world through the internet

I guess the main topic of conversation is 'What time will it start to rain' or maybe 'Which part of your body aches now'. That guy on the left seems to have a problem getting up. Maybe he's asking the other guys to give him a hand.

Joe, I noticed they also do some fishing on the sly at the Lake Garden which says "No Fishing". A group of them are there at the first bridge near Lake View Hotel. Each time they see me approaching with camera in hand, they would pull up their lines and pretend to chat.

Yes, I noticed that too Kayes. When I was there there the other day with a camera, they seemed to be wary of me. I thought I saw more fish off the island just after the bridge but maybe these guys prefer to lepak at the bridge.

There is actually another group of guys at the gazebo just after the bridge and they fish at the more inner part of that area. One day I will shoot a video with my D90 using a 400 mm lens and post it here
