Hi Kayes,
Have you tried the Oh Chien (Fried Oysters) at Stall No. 77 yet? I was at the Casual Market the other day but somehow I missed this stall. I wonder how is it compared to those sold in Penang.

Joe, I have not eaten at Stall 77 and I don't think the Oh Chien in Taiping will be as good as those found in Penang. Here are a couple of more pics of the other stalls taken on 18 October 2008.

Wonder how much is the Yau Chau Keoy or the Hum Chim Beng at stall 89? Kiosk at Mid Valley sells RM1.40 each. Package (Yau Chau Keoy with porridge) is RM3.90. The food centre looks very clean and inviting!!

I think so too Kayes. Nothing beats the oh chien in Penang. Some make it too pasty. The casual market food court is rather clean except when it rains and people walk about with their wet shoes thus making the floor slippery.

Kayes, thanks again for reviving your "Penang, Taiping & Ipoh-talks".
It's almost a decade since i last visited TaipingTalk and it causes a longing for the times of yore; the good old days when invincibility of youth prevailed
