Kuala Sepetang or Port Weld where the first railroad was laid. I was told by a friend that there is a very nice Curry Mee sold in Kuala Sepetang. It is just like the curry mee that was sold in the school canteen in our early years. He claims that its very good. Anyone has any idea where this stall is?

Its not Curry Mee but Prawn Mee. It comes in a package of RM6, RM10 and RM12 per plate (if I'm not mistaken) and the difference is the numbers of prawns in each plate.
For me, the RM6 package is more than enough of prawns that I can eat.
To go to the stall, just follow the road to Kuala Sepetang. Before you reach the town and the entrance to the Forestry Department Area, you will see a communication tower on your left. The stall is just there beside a mini petrol station.
Bon Appetit...

Thanks Wan for the info. I will try to locate this stall when I go up there end of this month. Yes, I would think the RM6 package should be more than enough. Must watch our cholestrol nowadays.

Wow.. Now you have to make a choice between Prawn Curry Mee or Prawn Mee...
Well life is about choices. But the best thing is, both comes with fresh prawns, lots of it.

You're right Jim, the cholestrol is secondary. When in Kuala Sepetang, I must sample the goodies. LOL. Another thing that I love is salted fish and when I drove past the wharf, I noticed they were drying the salted fish. Curiously, I drove right beside it and Phew! I never realised the pong was that strong. It took a while for my car to be rid of that smell.

Heard so many good comments from colleagues about the prawn mee near Forestry Dept. Must not miss it when in Taiping next. Have been asking for the name of the stall but no one bothers to provide the answer. The only way for me to do is to shout out loud PRAWM MEE when around that vicinity!! Just like what we did when looking for friends during school days. We knew where she stayed but no sure which house along that row of terrace houses belonged to her. A group of us shouted for her name, and somehow she appeared right in front of us immediately. He he

Hello wanamril.
Is that stall beside the mini petrol station named "Pak Salleh"? Wondering who is taking over his stall now?
