my late father used to be the station master from 1960 to 1968.I spent wonderful childhood years and primary school days living around the railway quarters.Mixed with multi racial neighbourhood.th erailway station should be preserved as it is and with the same material and can be nominated for world heritage if not for the missing railway line to port weld!

Hi Kayes
I have just been back to taiping and i was in assam kumbang and as i was wslking aroung the padand near the gun club area and was walking hoping to find the usaul short cut to KE school and I discover the lane or path is now close and blocked off with new houses and also there are works going on the railway line. Is it a high speed train line they are working on or two way lines and also houses being compulsory purchased especially by the level crossing near Tesco.
