With this pic., one thing comes into my mind - Taiping sky is always cloudy.
But I love those thick and moving clouds. It tends to make one's imaginations go wild ..... Thanks for sharing that priceless black and white pic., Blue Grass.

Hello Orange, the Lake Garden is a timeless beauty, isn't it? It is beautiful whatever time of day and weather and I especially like it when the hills, shrouded in mist, act as backdrop.
My only fear is when I hear of 'beautification plans' for the lakes with man made structures. When will we ever learn that nature needs no improvement!

Hi Blue Grass,
Does the 'beautification plans' include extra man made structures? I thought they are merely doing the routine maintenance like painting and repairing. Taiping Lake Garden has its own natural beauty. What we need is just maintenance. Happy to see those plants and tress esp. whose rain trees are well kept. Those pedal boats are in operation and they looked new too. I am so proud that the Lake Garden Public Toilet is clean and guarded.

A lot of nostalgia left by the colonial. Road, school, infrastructure and the most important law and order, peace and harmony. Just look at the above photo, nothing much the new generation have to do only with little effort and sincere heart. Just look at Afghanistan,Pakistan, Somalia, Sudan, Indonesia, Saudi Arabia etc not only poverty in the sense of food even peace and freedom are difficult to restore.

Taiping means Peaceful and Malaysia is a very peaceful country.
Malaysians are spoilt for choice when food is concerned. We have Malay Food, Chinese Food, Indian Food, Eurasian Food and Western Food. Vietnamese, Korean, Japanese, Arabian Food are easily available in Malaysia. Malaysians eat at anytime of the day. Most Mamak restaurants open 24 hours.
Lucky and proud to be Malaysian. I love you Malaysia!

The name Taiping "PEACE". Everytime myself back to Taiping I wont miss to visit the lake garden where during my school days this is the place of my leisure without spending any single cent. As we know other parts of Malaysia the word "MAINTENANCE" easy to say but difficult for Malaysian(govt and municipal body) to practise. Let Taiping be the good example where maintenance of the Lake Garden be as what the British ethic.
